Pelagia Nickoletopoulos named EMSB Assistant Director General, Education & Innovation

Montréal, July  15, 2021 – English Montreal School Board Director General Nicholas Katalifos has announced  the  appointment of Pelagia Nickoletopoulos as the new Assistant Director General, Education and Innovation.

Ms. Nickoletopoulos has been with the EMSB and its predecessor, the Protestant School Board of Greater Montreal, for 30 years. Since 2015 she has served as a Regional/Sector Director. Prior to that she was a school principal, vice-principal and teacher. She has a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from the Université de Montréal.

Ms. Nickoletopoulos succeeds Evelyne Alfonsi, who will continue to play an important role at the   EMSB as a Hors Cadre/Senior Executive Advisor.

Mr. Katalifos noted that the EMSB is fortunate to have someone with Ms. Nickoletopoulos’ wealth of experience.  She will oversee important dossiers such as education and student services, transportation, registration, nutrition and food services and the Board’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic protocols.
