Carlyle Primary International Baccalaureate World School Celebrates Halloween with Unveiling of New Mascot and Festive Activities

Carlyle Primary International Baccalaureate World School celebrated Halloween in grand style on Thursday, October 31, 2024, as students and staff enjoyed a day filled with costumes, games, and the exciting reveal of the school’s new mascot, Caramel the Carlyle Colt. The event, which was broadcast live on Global TV by Laura Casella during the morning show, captured the festive spirit and enthusiasm of the Carlyle community.

Principal Dina Vourdousis marked the occasion with a special unveiling of Caramel the Carlyle Colt, the school’s new mascot.  The principal was thrilled to introduce Caramel as the school’s mascot, representing the Carlyle community's spirited, supportive, and resilient nature. 

Throughout the day, students participated in a variety of Halloween-themed activities, which brought the excitement and magic of the holiday to life:

Haunted House Adventure: Students braved the school’s haunted house, encountering spooky decorations and playful frights. 

Virtual Bingo: Hosted over Teams, virtual bingo brought a modern twist to the festivities, connecting students in a safe, interactive activity that added an exciting edge to the celebrations.

Spooky Book Reading: Halloween-themed book readings captivated students with spooky tales that added to the day’s excitement.

Just Dance Show (Micheal Jackson’s Thriller): The gym came alive with a Just Dance show, allowing students to enjoy music, movement, and festive fun.

In addition, officers from the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) joined the festivities, distributing candy to students and sharing essential trick-or-treating safety tips. 

The event was a collective effort of the students, parents, staff, and the broader community that made this event a resounding success. The Halloween celebration at Carlyle Elementary School reflects the school’s dedication to creating a supportive and engaging environment where students can celebrate, learn, and create lasting memories together.
