Remarkable professional dancer from China to perform Lunar New Year Tour

Montreal, February 9, 2026-   Leyi Lin, a remarkable professional dancer, came to Canada directly   from China five years ago.  With over a decade of training in Chinese classical dance, she has experience as a member of a Beijing municipal-level student dance troupe and she spent four years   as the main performer at the Montreal Centre of Chinese Cultural Arts and two years teaching chinese classical dance in the Côte Des Neiges dance studios. Leyi Lin Leyi has performed the ''traditional'' cultural dances at several schools to mark the Lunar New Year, thus far Bancroft in the Plateau, Coronation in Côte des Neiges and Gardenview in St. Laurent. Next up is  Parkdale   Elementary School (1475 Deguire)  in St. Lauret on Wed Feb. 11 (9:20 am). EMSB Marks Black History Month Through Hands-On Learning and Creativity

Montreal, February 26 , 2026 – Throughout Black History Month, the English Montreal School Board network  has been engaging students in immersive, creative, and interdisciplinary learning experiences designed to bring Black history, culture, and excellence to life.    Dr. Salah Wilson The Life of Viola Desmond During Black History Month, students from Pierre de Coubertin Elementary School (PDC), Nesbitt Elementary School, Carlyle Elementary, and Leonardo Da Vinci Academy (LDVA), and L.I.N.K.S. High School took part in meaningful and engaging workshops focused on the life and legacy of  Viola Desmon d. The workshops were led by PDCIA  Animator Vince Lacroce and were designed to deepen students’ understanding of social justice, equity, and courage through interactive learning experiences.
